I am a Masters-trained psychologist with full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. I am also a Board Approved Supervisor to provisional psychologists seeking to gain general registration with AHPRA. Since 2003, I have worked with government, not-for-profits, community mental health, and private practice settings on the Gold Coast and in Western Australia providing psychological and counselling services to populations with diverse and complex needs. In my spare time I love surfing, travel, and raising my three children.

From 2022, I am consulting from a boutique family clinic in West Leederville, Perth.

“Hi there, I’m Tristan…

My practice is always flexible and specific to your individual needs. To begin with, an initial assessment is vital for me to fully understand your current situation. Your first session will give you the opportunity to discuss your particular circumstances and help us to begin to put together an accurate idea of what's causing these problem areas in your life. This will direct a tailored approach to your psychological care involving appropriate interventions and healthy coping strategies to empower you to move forwards with your life. If you are consulting with me regarding your child, the first session will be without your child unless they are old enough to be seeking therapy on their own (around age 14).

Your first session will also give you the chance to ask me any questions so you can make sure that I am the most appropriate person for you. If this is not the case for any reason, I will happily make recommendations and referrals that are more specifically tailored to you.

Following on from your first session, I draw upon a range of approaches from cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), interpersonal therapyDialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills, EMDR, and Mindfulness, all within a trauma-informed, neurodiversity affirming, and solution-focused framework. My values define both my practice and myself. There is no therapist mask, voice, or posture when I enter a consulting room. I am me and I believe this gives you the best chance to be you.”

If you have any questions about any of the above, please call or email.
